Weddington Christian Academy is looking for educators to positively impact students and families in a Christian environment.  Teachers will need to be willing to serve families and educate young minds. WCA is a JK-10th grade school that has an academically rigorous program using the latest technology enhancements.  In addition, teachers will lead students to develop Christian character. Elementary Physical Education Teacher


Weddington Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Elementary Physical Education Teacher who has a heart for helping children grow physically, socially, and spiritually within a Christ-centered learning environment.
This position serves students in Junior Kindergarten through 5th Grade and is an excellent opportunity for an educator who enjoys working with young children and believes in the importance of movement-based learning, character development, and whole-child education.

Responsibilities:
•    Implement the SPARK Physical Education curriculum through engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons.
•    Provide instruction that promotes:
      •    Motor skill development
      •    Fitness and healthy habits
      •    Teamwork and cooperation
      •    A lifelong love of physical activity
•    Create a positive, encouraging environment that fosters:
      •    Good sportsmanship
      •    Perseverance
      •    Self-control
      •    Christ-like character
•    Support students’ physical, social, and emotional growth through meaningful movement experiences.
•    Collaborate with classroom teachers to support WCA’s whole-child approach to education.
•    Help cultivate a culture of wellness and active living throughout the school community.

The ideal candidate will:
•    Have a passion for working with elementary-aged students.
•    Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
•    Support the mission and values of Weddington Christian Academy.
•    Possess a desire to encourage students academically, physically, and spiritually.

Schedule:   Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
