Weddington Christian Academy is looking for educators to positively impact students and families in a Christian environment.  Teachers will need to be willing to serve families and educate young minds. WCA is a JK-9th grade school that has an academically rigorous program using the latest technology enhancements.  In addition, teachers will lead students to develop Christian character. High School Principal

Weddington Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, visionary leader to serve as our High School Principal.  

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian education, a background in public or private education, demonstrated excellence in leadership, and a passion for shaping young lives.  

Candidate should be able to intentionally develop relationships with students, as well as facilitate positive, successful educational journeys individually and corporately.

Elementary School Teacher


Weddington Christian Academy is seeking an elementary school teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian education, work well within a team, and have a passion for shaping young lives. This position is open to interested full-time candidates.

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and implement curriculum that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
•    Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
•    Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress and personal development.
•    Maintain robust communication with parents and colleagues.
•    Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Education
•    One to two years of teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory)
•    Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
•    Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Strong organizational skills

Part-Time Elementary Music Teacher

Weddington Christian Academy is seeking a part-time music teacher to join our faculty as we head into the 2024/2025 school year. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to Christian education, work well within a team, and have a passion for shaping young lives.  

Qualifications:
•    College Degree
•    Teaching experience in music, preferred
•    Ability to read music and play the piano
•    Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
•    Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Afterschool Team Member


The perfect candidate enjoys having fun and working with children between the ages of 4 and 14. 


Primary responsibility is maintaining the safety and well-being of the children in the after-school program while creating a fun environment. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: group supervision, providing age-appropriate activities, and helping children with craft projects and homework. 


The ideal candidate will contribute his/her talents to generate and enhance a positive after-school program experience.


Position is from August 15, 2024 – May 21, 2024
Job Hours: M-F (flexible days), 2:30-6:00
