Weddington Christian Academy is looking for educators to positively impact students and families in a Christian environment.  Teachers will need to be willing to serve families and educate young minds. WCA is a JK-9th grade school that has an academically rigorous program using the latest technology enhancements.  In addition, teachers will lead students to develop Christian character. Part-Time High School Teachers 
Weddington Christian Academy is seeking High School Teachers to join our faculty as we expand the academy to include 9th grade in the fall of 2024. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to Christian education, work well within a team, and have a passion for shaping young lives.  This is an opportunity to be part of the excitement of opening a new high school.

•  Part-Time High School English Teacher 
•  Part-Time High School Math Teacher
•  Part-Time High School Science Teacher
•  Part-Time High School Spanish Teacher

Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree with teaching experience 
•  Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
•  Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•  Strong organizational skills

Salaries are determined by experience and qualifications. These positions offer part-time hours with the potential for full-time employment as the school continues to grow and expand its high school program. Full time Early Education Assistant
The Early Education Assistant will provide care for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten age children under the guidance of early childhood educators, by working closely with educators to develop age-appropriate programs that support the children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.


Some Responsibilities of the Early Education Assistant may include but is not limited to:
•    helping teachers prepare lesson materials.
•    setting up and organizing for lessons; tidying up after classes.
•    working with students to ensure student comprehension.
•    watching, recording and reporting student progress and maintaining student records.
•    looking after children who are upset or unwell.
•    leading classes under teacher’s supervision.
 

Qualifications:
•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    One to two years of teaching experience, preferably in early education
•    Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
•    Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Strong organizational skills

Part-time IT Support Technician
Weddington Christian Academy seeks an individual with technical proficiency and robust problem-solving abilities to fill the IT Support Technician role. In this capacity, the successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for user-level IT inquiries, ensuring prompt responses and the seamless functioning of all systems. The primary objective of this position is to empower employees to utilize software and hardware effectively in their daily tasks, thereby enhancing overall productivity and
efficiency.

The ideal candidate is expected to display good communication and interpersonal skills, listen to employee’s technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions. Must have strong organizational skills.

IT Support Technician job duties include, but is not limited to:

● Resolving IT support requests from employees
● Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
● Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems
● Changing configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues
● Generating sign ins for new hires during the onboarding process
● Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
● Updating employees on the status of their service requests
● Ad hoc projects as needed

Athletic Director - Middle/ High School
The Athletic Director will be expected to uphold the Mission and Vision of Weddington Christian Academy through all communication and interactions with students, staff, coaches, referees and parents. 

The Athletic Director will oversee all aspects of athletic programs associated with the school. This includes but is not limited to hiring coaches, ordering equipment and uniforms, marketing events, budgeting, and arranging sports events.

The ideal candidate will also serve as the Physical Education/Health Teacher and be responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters, promotes, and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function and exercise in our students. This includes motivating each student to cultivate physical fitness, and appropriate social and emotional adjustment; discovering and developing the talents of students in physical achievement; and developing the strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each student’s ability.
