Thank you for your interest in Weddington Christian Academy.  We are an affordable private Christian school located in the heart of Weddington on Providence Road just two miles south of Charlotte. Our mission is to provide quality, Christian education in small classes to ensure optimum academic success and Christian nurturing.

We have a strong K4, Kindergarten and solid 1st - 5th grade elementary program. The children in our school have an “adventure in learning” in a structured environment, yet a child-friendly atmosphere. We use the colorful A BEKA Christian curriculum, teach Bible truths and share Biblical stories that enhance values, moral and character development. The children also have a variety of center play to enhance creativity, work on social skills, group activities and fine-motor skills. 

We recognize that learning is a process and builds over time. We use tried and proven methods to build self-esteem, confidence and a strong academic base. We are also pleased to offer the benefits of a Christian curriculum with a phonics-based early reading program. Students read earlier when phonics is the backbone of the approach to reading and later helps greatly in spelling new words.  We desire to honor God in our program as we strive to prepare young people to face the future grounded in Christ, strong in academics and balanced socially.
